call me a bitter sceptic if you will, but how could any film be better than a beautiful drawing like that?

  2. mark k-punk Says:

What, you don’t think cgi can outdo Jack Kirby? Have you no faith?
Seriously, tho, a few yrs ago, there’s no chance it would have been anything but hopeless — but after X-men and Spiderman (awright Hulk was rubbish and I haven’t even bothered with Daredevil), there are some reasons to be optimistic.
But of course it won’t compete with Jack. But then what does?

I have a bad feeling this movie has been in pre-production hell for the best part of a decade if I remember rightly. There is an insanely money-hungry script that’s been around for ages. Have there been developments beyond this Mark?

  4. mark k-punk Says:

I think longer, Phillip, but surely cgi has made it infinitely more plausible?
(It’s more or less only in the context of superhero movies that I think cgi is worthwhile).
