Tarkovsky’s Mirror is another masterpiece of slowtime. Jim is completely right.

YES!! mirror reminds me of heronbone – a stream of Haikus, like a shuffled flick book of memories (are they thoughts or memories?). Whatever… I’ve never looked into the film that deeply, just saw what happens and let it wash over me. It’s a masterpiece, I can’t imagine I’ll ever tire of it, but I recommend you save it till it’s on at the cinema, or tv transmitted.

well, the nft just did a tarvovsky season, so i missed that already nick and y’see the thing is, i’m just into consumerism now, i’m clean living, i only poison myself with legal stuff nowdays, i think it’s the way foward, just buying stuff, it’s great i get a real sense of acheivement and meaning in my life and i’m making a contribution to the country’s economy. yesterday i bought a bill hicks book. reduced by one pound. i feel pretty good about myself now and mirror is easy to get hold of on dvd so next time i need a lift i’ll go out and buy it. fill the void in your life, go shopping.

actually if you, and nick too if he feels like it, could tell me what they enjoyed in it i’d be very grateful. masterpiece is a strong word. that may seem fruitless but i’m often dismissive of things initally which i end up enjoying, if i get the right take on it. but don’t just give me a slew of adjectives ‘poetic, mysterious, hauting etc’ cos that won’t work. adjctives don’t add up to an argument.
i liked stalker a lot by the way.
