Some people reckon she’s just a patronising old God-botherer, but if you suddenly need to cook something with the minimum of effort, you can’t beat her recipes. When I was 7, I used to pray that my parents would give me up for adoption and that someone like Delia would take me in as her surrogate child.

    That’s terrifying.

I agree, Martin. You want to try her savoury cheesecake, if you haven’t already.

she gets across the basics well with style, grace, and economy.

mark, you should have another blog k-food…
i recently bought a book “italy: sea to sky” which is great. its organized by region, and has some cool macro photography of different foods. by the way do you watch iron chef? i only recently discovered it, but it is amazing.

  7. mark Says:

Iron chef, no never heard of it, what is it?

  8. Tim Rambler Says:

Not really a cooking site per se, but Jill Duplex (sp?) has regular online recipes at The Times – her pork chops in maple syrup and paprika is particularly good (and dead easy).

Best site that I’ve found for recipes is the BBC site. It’s got loads of good recipes, I pilfer from it all the time.
